I've dipped my toes into DJing, but for the most part I would consider myself to be more of a composer. I don't know what the RTL measurements are for the Audio 6 but if it's USB 2.0/3.0/etc. The OS and DAW play an important part as well, but your audio interface matters a lot. RTL and just plain old latency is really important for when you're playing software instruments or instruments that go through the computer for processing. Although recently I was reading about a Thunderbolt interface which supposedly had a lower roundtrip latency measurement. The roundtrip latency measurement (from what I understand) is lowest with PCIe cards. I needed a lot more inputs/outputs for mics, synths, multiple studio monitors, etc. I own at on of NI stuff and really do love their products (most notably Komplete Ultimate 11 which is a massive bang for your buck), but NI's interfaces don't exactly meet my needs specifically. I already sent the question to Traktor support but they never got back to me :_( Has anyone done this - used timecode vinyl with a Z1? It seems like it should work. I would rather not have to buy and carry a kontrol Z2 or external mixer just to add a turntable as not all clubs I play at have in-house turntables and mixers. I take my equipment in cabs and on trains often (I live near NYC) so really like that the Z1 and X1 fit in a backpack. My question is could I use Audio 6 to to route the turntable into Traktor Scratch, but keep using the Z1 and X1 Mk2 for the mixer and other controls? FYI, the Z1 does not have any audio in capability. It works well but I'm considering upgrading my OTUS to a turntable with timecode vinyl for more scratch capability. My current setup is a Kontrol Z1 and Kontrol X1 Mk2 with an external Jogwheel midi controller for scratching (an EKS OTUS - discontinued and awesome, though drivers are quite flakey). Hey guys, could do with a little help working out if a setup I've got planned will work before buying new kit.
